Moroccan Carrier to Significantly Increase Flights to North America

Royal Air Maroc (RAM), the national airline of Morocco, has announced a significant expansion of its services to the United States. The airline plans to increase its route capacity to the US by 50% starting next year, demonstrating a strong commitment to strengthening travel and trade links between Africa and North America.
This large-scale expansion will involve either increasing the frequency of existing flights or launching new routes to key US cities, or a combination of both strategies. RAM currently operates direct flights from its hub in Casablanca to several major destinations in North America. This planned growth will substantially boost the number of seats available on these lucrative transatlantic paths.
Boosting Transatlantic Connectivity
The decision to expand US operations is aimed at serving the growing demand for tourism and business travel between the continents. By increasing capacity, RAM is positioning itself as a central connecting point for travelers moving between North America and various destinations in Africa, thanks to its extensive network from Casablanca.
The airline’s strategy aligns with its goal of reinforcing its hub status. The expansion is expected to attract more passengers who value direct and efficient access between the two regions, bypassing often longer layovers in Europe.
Preparing for Future Growth
This ambitious plan requires Royal Air Maroc to effectively manage its existing fleet and integrate new aircraft as needed to support the added flight load. The 50% capacity increase signals confidence in the North American market and the airline’s future role as a vital link in global aviation.
